"On Va A Paris" (One Goes To Paris) (2000)

"On Va A Paris" Jean-Luc Theroux's romantic romp against the backdrop of beautiful Paris. Caroline and Christine are Americain sisters who pack their bags and travel to France seeking out the love they can not seem to find in America. However, through an unforseen mishap, their luggage arrives in Paris, but they do not, setting into motion a series of romantic mis-adventures that neither of them had dreamed of. A true love letter from one of France's leading underground directors, Thereaux's film gives us one of the most romantic film in decades. Lina Poussard and Remy Lafleur star. (86 mins.)

"Nebraska Odyssey" (1977)

Sara Frost-Truesdale. Listed as one of the most promising actresses to come out of the English theatre in recent years. Her father, a concert violinist and her mother, a Ballet dancer, she was exposed to the theatre from the time she was only 3 years old. Encouraged by her parents to perform in local theatre groups, she acted in over 30 plays by the time she was in her teens. Her performance last year as Lady Macbeth in Thomas Northrup's production of Macbeth brought her into the forefront of new and upcoming actresses in the UK. A student of medevel languages, she is a graduate of Cambridge University, and is fluent in seven languages. Just announced to star opposite Derrick Clayton in Jim Gerrington's upcoming film "Vienna Delusions" which begins filming in early 2009. Married to playwright James Truesdale in 2002, the couple live with their 2 children on the coastline of Swalecliffe, just outside of Canturbury.

Underrated Actor of the Week

Bill Nighy (pronounced "nigh") was born in Caterham, Surrey, England. He trained at The Guildford School of Dance and Drama. For the past two decades, this 59 year old has been one of Britain’s most prolific and versatile actors appearing in over 80 films & TV shows. Ever since he began acting on stage in the early 1970’s, Nighy has racked up an impressive resume of film, television and stage credits. Nighy early on began appearing in small roles on screen, including films like "Eye of the Needle" (1981), a spy thriller starring Donald Sutherland, "The Curse of the Pink Panther" (1983) and "The Little Drummer Girl", a political thriller based on the John Le Carré novel. More recent films include "Pirates Of The Caribbean 2&3", "Underworld", Hitchiker’s Guide To The Galaxy" "Hot Fuzz", & "Shaun Of The Dead". He is the partner of actress Diana Quick. He once asked her to marry him but she said: "don't ask me again." He calls her his wife in public because "anything else would be too difficult." They have one daughter, Mary (born 1984).

Underrated Actress of the Week

Aki Murimoto, one of the great character actresses of Japan. Born in Japan, her family moved to San Francisco when she was only 3. Working in theatre by the time she was 5, Aki was schooled in music & ballet early on. Always fascinated by her Japanese heritage, she moved back to Tokyo when she was 18, attending the Nagoya University of Arts. While there independent film director Katsuru Ishikawa discovered her on campus, and cast her in three of his Kana Mushashi Mysteries, playing the recurring role of Keiko, the villainous "Lady of Snakes" establishing herself as a cult favorite. She is often cast as the villain, although in real life she is quiet & shy, often shunning fan conventions requesting her appearence. When not acting she devotes her time to various charitable organizations dealing with the ecological concerns of the planet.

Underrated Actor of the Week

Steve Buschemi. Several different journalists have dubbed Steve Buscemi (b-oo-seh-mee) 'King of the Indies', and there's no doubt that he's earned his crown. At age 46, he has carved out a place for himself in film-making history as one of the most prolific and eclectic forces in the independent (as well as mainstream) filmmaking communities. With an impressive 89 movies and 16 television performances under his belt over the course of his 19 year career, Steve not only impresses as an actor, but as a writer/director as well.
As an actor, Buscemi is often cast as the weasel, con, thug or occasional serial killer. In reality, he is well-liked and respected by his peers, often appearing in multiple projects with the same actors and directors. He is a loyal friend and family man, husband of Jo Andres, father of Lucian. A former New York City firefighter from 1980-1984, Steve donned his old turnout gear to work at Ground Zero among his grieving and fallen brothers following the 9/11/01 World Trade Center attack.

Underrated Actor of the Week

Jeffrey Alrich. Young British comedian who has found his niche playing bumbling secondary characters in late 90’s films. His role of the very neurotic Ronald in " Casturbury Comes to London" nearly stole the film. Grew up in Manchester, attended Oxford University. Supported himself by performing in local clubs, where he cultivated the manic character he often plays in films. Currently he is writing a screenplay based on his Oxford days. He shares an apartment in London with his cat Mrs. Peel. Personal Quote: "Producers won’t accept me as a leading man because of my striking resemblence to Cary Grant. It’s a curse".
